Two of my favorite people – Ana Pines and Kim Rescate – were recently profiled in New York City-based Go Magazine as one of several “Captivating Couples” for 2013. I couldn’t agree more, but to be honest, I’ve been captivated with the pair ever since I met them last year.
Co-owners of Pink Egg Media, I’d be surprised if you haven’t seen their work all over San Diego. Both are regular contributing writers and photographers to LGBT Weekly, and both are heavily involved with FilmOut San Diego. Ana serves on the board as co-programmer, and Kim does a lot of the nonprofit’s graphic design work.
Add Kim’s work as marketing manager at Diversionary Theatre, and you’ll soon realize the couple are hard to miss.
I saw both at the launch of the Latino Film Festival last night, a year after one of our very first meetings at the same launch. Their story is endearing – and undeniably them – all the way down to their spontaneous wedding at the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego. Kim has “an innocence that make me fall in love with her over and over again,” Ana said in the Go Magazine article.
Meet San Diego’s perfect captivating couple.
