Musical entertainment is by our very own “The Social Animal.” A tax-deductible donation of $20 per person comes with a free sangria and appetizers while supplies last, so come early!

While you are there, enjoy a great gourmet dinner (not covered in your ticket price) by Chef Ramon. Center Cut Steakhouse has amazing food that you will have you coming back for more! Chef Ramon and Rebeca have also generously offered to donate a portion of the proceeds to South Bay Pride, so visit our site at SouthBayPride.org to get your advance ticket or pay at the door.

Just 10 minutes south of Downtown off of Interstate 5, take the H Street exit and head east a couple of blocks. It is just before the Chula Vista mall. A silent auction will also be held with great prizes including VIP box seat tickets for the Incubus concert on Aug. 30 at the Sleep Train Amphitheatre in Chula Vista.

In addition, Imperial Court de San Diego and South Bay Pride are happy to announce that we are having our very first “Mr., Miss, and Ms. Gay Pride of South Bay” contest during this year’s South Bay Pride. The competition will be held between noon and 1:30 p.m. on the Port of San Diego live stage. Our judges will select our own official Imperial Court representatives from the contestants. If you would like to nominate someone or apply to compete, please fill out the form on our website. You need to live south of state Route 94 in San Diego County to be eligible. This includes south San Diego, Spring Valley, Coronado, Bonita, National City, Chula Vista, San Ysidro, and Imperial Beach. Come one, come all!

We would also like to thank San Diego County and particularly Greg Cox for their generous support through the Community Reinvestment Program Grant in recognition of our leadership in promoting the South Bay LGBT community and the Chula Vista Harbor for future investment on the waterfront. We are extremely excited about being part of this development of South Bay and hope all of you come down in September to see for yourselves the amazing jewel of Bayside Park with its beach, gorgeous scenery and amazing access to our beautiful bay.

And of course, happy San Diego Pride. It has been over 40 years since a small group of marchers made the first San Diego Pride parade. Much has changed in that time. We can celebrate that we have changed society for the better because we were willing to stick it out for the long haul even through the darkest of defeats. This will be a Pride march like no other. Enjoy your San Diego Pride weekend, come by and see us at our booth at the festival. Then, come out again on Sept. 12 at South Bay Pride Art & Music Festival at Bayside Park in Chula Vista. Let’s keep the momentum going towards justice and equality. We can, and we will do it!
