Disturbing ‘gay test’ story from SD Unified School District

So many disturbing things in this story:

Disturbing thing #1: Nine students from San Diego Unified School District were suspended for, among other things, watching pornography and openly masturbating in class. Part of the game was what students called a “gay test.” Those who were visibly aroused watching porn on their cell phones were then labeled gay.

#2: They are 7th graders.

#3: The U-T San Diego story (linked above) loosely linked the incidents to a “record of inclusion on gay issues” from the school district.

The story goes on to list the district banning Boy Scout activities in 1993, approving an anti-bullying policy in 2011 and Superintendent Bill Kowba’s leadership award at this year’s Harvey Milk Diversity Breakfast as evidence of gay “inclusion.”

#4: Another news source re-wrote the U-T story, manipulating San Diego County Office of Education board member John Witt’s quote to make readers believe he disapproved of the district’s “history of inclusion on gay issues.”
